About Us
About Our Business

My husband and I used to live in Minnesota where hay is easy to
come by.  You could find hay for very little cost and the hay was great
quality.  So when we moved to Florida and saw the coastal hay that
we were supposed to feed the horses we learned a lot about
different types of hay.

We have a horse who has
HYPP and has to be on a special diet
because the different hay effects him.  Hay with fertilizers have a
huge effect also.  Because of the coastal just being a filler ( doesn't
provide much in the line of nutritional value just to keep them busy)
and because of my horse with H/H being very sensitive, I have
started to learn about hay and how important it is to their diet.

You can take the FILLER hay (Coastal) and pay $7.00 a bale, feed
the whole bale and it will not have even half a bale of quality hay's
nutritional value.  So say you pay $12.00 a bale of Orchard Alfalfa and
feed only half ( $6.00 worth of hay) and they would be getting more
out of that then a whole bale of Coastal ( $7.00 value).  The quality
hay is better for your horse and better on your wallet.

What my goal is to be able to offer hay at a low enough price and the
highest quality to keep you and your horses satisfied.  Please let us
know of anything that we can do to better serve you and your horses.
I will try to provide as much information as I can on the different hay
products and there values.  I also want to provide you with links to
equine nutritionists that can help with any questions you may have.
Remember when ever changing diet plans to always talk to your vet.

Storing Our Hay
We store our hay in a Hay Shed.  This shed is raised and leveled and
the hay is placed on pallets for good air flow.  The shed is completely
enclosed on all four sides to protect the hay from the elements that
sun, rain and humidity can cause.  We have found that a semi does
not allow the hay to really breath so this has our best interest in mind
when it comes to keeping the hay with all it natural benefits and not
losing to many of them.

Where the Hay Comes From
We really get our hay from all over: New York, Kentucky, Louisiana,
Georgia,  Minnesota, Colorado, Illinois and other states as needed.
